Description & Usage

Polyester is the industry-standard “workhorse” filter medium due to its cost-effectiveness, high tensile strength, and versatility. It is suitable for a wide range of dry, non-corrosive, and non-hydrolytic applications. While it offers good resistance to acids, it is notably susceptible to hydrolysis (moisture degradation) at elevated temperatures, which limits its use in high-moisture or steam-heavy environments. In standard, dry, moderate-temperature dust collection systems, it provides a reliable balance of filtration efficiency and economic value.
